Experience fun, games and excitement
The Münchehagen outdoor museum is Germany’s largest scientific adventure and theme park. On an approximately 2.5 km long circular trail, our visitors can learn all about the fascinating development of life in the history of the earth with over 300 lifelike reconstructions of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals in their original size.
In the open-air area you will not only encounter the most famous dinosaurs such as Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Diplodocus and of course Tyrannosaurus Rex; our largest model is a dinosaur that caused the earth to tremble. Seismosaurus, with a length of 45 metres and a height of 9 metres! Our ‘earthquake lizard’ is one of the largest dinosaur models in the world created under scientific supervision.

Yes, during the season we are open daily from 9 am to 6 pm. Also on Sundays and public holidays. Please note: The last admission is one hour before the park closes!
The last possible admission is one hour before the car park closes. Our recommendation: Come at least two hours before the park closes! Otherwise you simply won’t have enough time to enjoy the park, the dinosaurs and the many other play options.
To be honest, that’s difficult to answer. Our favourite answer is ‘It depends’ 😊
If you’re already a dinosaur expert, come regularly or just want to pop in for a quick prehistoric detour, you’ll definitely be done after 2 hours.
But if you’re here for the first time, your children are absolute dinosaur fans and want to study every sign in detail, then you should plan an extra hour or two!
Yes, we provide all our visitors with free parking directly at the park. You are welcome to park your car here during your entire stay in the park. Please note: Our car parks are not monitored!
You can reach us with the Deutsche Bahn, station Wunstorf. Take bus number 715 to Wiedenbrügge, then continue with bus number 716 to ‘Eingang Saurierpark’ (during the holiday season) and otherwise to Hauptstraße, ‘Abzweig Saurierpark’ (approx. 500 m on foot). From 1 April, Regiobus line 835 will run at weekends and on public holidays from Neustadt a. Rbg. and from Wunstorf, circumnavigating the Steinhuder Meer in both directions. From 1 June to 31 August 2023, the bus also runs daily. The ‘Saurierpark’ bus stop is located directly at the main entrance.
Yes, you are welcome to arrive with your campervan. We have sufficient parking spaces. Please note that we cannot offer any supply or disposal services. However, if you are self-sufficient, you are welcome to stay here for one night. And as experienced campers, you know that entry to the park is of course not compulsory – but very welcome.
Yes, dogs ON A LEASH are welcome guests here! Please have a dog waste bag with you so that you can dispose of any ‘dog waste’. You thought of the dog – but not of ‘the bag’? No problem. We have made provisions for these emergencies: you can get a bag at our cash desks.
